My family is the most important part of my life. I grew up a middle child with one older sister, Danielle, and two younger siblings, my sister Corrina and brother Donovan. We are each other’s best friends and most loyal support group. To us, family is everything, and we go out of our way to spend quality time with one another and, most importantly, bring our dog along with us. (Yes, dogs are family)
My father introduced me to skiing when I was just five years old. Since then, we have spent many winters traveling to over 15 ski resorts nationwide. Whether it was ski racing when I was younger or just chasing the biggest snowstorms, we always tried to carve out a good trip.
Camaraderie. We all come from different backgrounds and areas of education but have landed here, sharing a heart for service and working diligently every day to help our clients reach their full potential.
At 18, I was diagnosed with stage 3 Classic Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Having come from a family with an unfortunate medical history, I saw this as my turn to step up to the plate and kick some a**. I did eight rounds of chemotherapy before ringing the bell on April 2, 2019. This experience taught me that “Attitude is everything” and gave me the resilience to push forward through life’s biggest setbacks.
My first job was at a local St. Louis Italian restaurant, where I began working catering events at 14. I worked there for eight years in various positions as a busser, cashier, server, and bar-back. This is where I had my first taste of client service by going above and beyond to make guests’ experience that much better.
Friends of Kids with Cancer greatly impacted my time at St. Louis Children’s Hospital by providing meals, entertainment, and even awarding me a college scholarship. I take any chance to give back to such a fantastic organization, and I am part of their Young Professionals Program.
