Seeking Transparency
One of our founding ideologies is transparency, and we even use this image of binoculars as a reminder of its importance. Transparency is a unique concept in our industry because the bulk of investors have none. The big brokerage houses provide their clients little or no information on fees, returns, or portfolio allocations, and they’re happy doing so to keep a shroud of mystery over how much their clients are overpaying to underperform. This month’s newsletter focuses on various issues around transparency and our take on the topic.
2015 Summer Reading from Carl Richards
As promised, we’ve prepared this year’s summer reading for our clients and will be mailing books out this week. It’s the latest from the NY Times sketch guy, Carl Richards. The One-Page Financial Plan is a great starter tool for anyone who hasn’t achieved a clear financial plan. If you can’t commit to reading the entire book, don’t miss the intro, chapter 8, and chapter 9.
Would you like a copy for a friend? Visit our website to sign them up for our newsletter, and we’ll send them their very own book.
